  We drove about a half hour from Oakville to give this place a try since my dad had seen it during the Bread and Honey Festival. Upon arriving, I noticed that the server at the front desk was putting an order into the console, so I politely waited for her to be finished. Eventually she turned to me and said"...yes?" as if something was wrong on my end of the interaction. I told her we had a reservation, to which she responded "We have lots of reservations; do you have a name, or number of people, or a phone number?" We had not even sat down, and I already felt like I was being patronized. After her wise-cracking, she had the gall to say "You know you can tip 30%" when we paid the bill. As for the food, it's pretty good, albeit slightly overpriced (I recommend the nachos with ground beef, THAT was really tasty.) I wouldn't travel 30 minutes to eat here again but if it were a local place I might revisit if the server we had were no longer there. She effectively ruined our first experience with this place and we will not be coming back.

  Excellent food and drinks. Beautiful heritage building in an iconic street. Weekend live band on upper floor was a treat.
